I recently bought a Pure Chronos I-dock after my Ipod speakers decided to pack up after 3 years (for £30 I think they served me well!) What made me choose the I-dock by Pure in the first place? The main selling points for me were that my mother already had one of their DAB radios (a Tempus) which had superb sound quality, I had read mainly good reviews regarding the product and it was reasonably priced at £97.

I was excited when it arrived by courier and was eager to start playing it. This didn't go quite to plan and so I felt I should write this article to hopefully make it easier for other people who may experience a similar problem in being able to set up the DAB radio!

As I mentioned earlier, my mother had one of their DAB radios. When she got hers, she just literally plugged it in and switched it on and hey presto the digital signal started to pick up digital radio stations straight away. I assumed the Chronos I-dock would do the same...but it did not. It took me over an hour to eventually get all the digital stations that I wanted.

First off I read the manual from cover to cover, this didn't explain very clearly so I ended up part-guessing what to do! So now I'm going to explain how to autotune your Pure Chronos I-dock.

Press on the 'menu' button and then press '+' (directly beneath the menu button). Keep pressing this until you reach the option that says DAB. Next press the 'select' button (next to '+'), then press on '+' again until you get to the autotune option, then press 'select' again. This should then start the search for all the digital radio stations available to you. Simple eh..when you know how!

If there are specific stations that you were expecting but don't seem to have it may be that you do not have coverage in your area for that specific station. You can always go to their website where you can check what stations you can pick up by typing in your postcode. This is useful before spending money on a DAB radio.

I hope you find it easier to set up your DAB and that this article helped.
